Program Manager & Budget Coordinator
Rupesh an experienced social and human services professional with a strong background in budget analysis, policy research, and advocacy. Since 2007, he has served at the Samarthan-Center for Budget Studies, currently holding the position of Program Maneger. He specializes in tracking public expenditure, promoting budget transparency, and advancing the rights of marginalized communities in Maharashtra. His expertise includes advocacy state legislators, conducting socio-economic surveys, and utilizing legislative devices to address issues like malnutrition, migration, education, human rights and labor rights. Successfully advocacy the Maharashtra Finance Department (2007-08) to reserve Rs. 2,000 Crore annually for the Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS). Collaborated with CBGA (2011-13) on budget transparency in Maharashtra and submitted a Charter of Demands on tribal issues for the Union Budge. Appointed as a committee member (2015-16) under the Director of Education focusing on schooling for children of stone quarry workers. Actively participated in national budget consultation programs with Central base Organization CBGA and NFI from 2009-10 through 2018-19. He holds a Master of in Political Science and a Diploma in Journalism, complementing his extensive practical work in policy implementation and governmental liaison.
